RBI announces Rs 75,000 crore 3-Day VRR Auction on March 20

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), after reviewing current and evolving liquidity conditions, has decided to conduct a 3-day Variable Rate Repo (VRR) auction under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) on March 20, 2026.

The auction will have a notified amount of Rs 75,000 crore with a tenor of three days. The bidding window is scheduled from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM, and the funds will be reversed on March 23, 2026 (Monday).

The operational guidelines for the auction will remain in line with those specified in the RBI’s press release dated January 20, 2022.
