Ministry of Steel to hold open house on steel import issues on March 23

The Ministry of Steel will conduct an open house on March 23, 2026, to discuss issues related to steel imports. The meeting will be held from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Steel Room, 3rd Floor, GPOA-3, Netaji Nagar, New Delhi.

Companies and industry associations can present concerns related to SIMS, SARAL SIMS, and QCO exemption during the session. Interested participants are required to register in advance by sending an email to the ministry to obtain a confirmed time slot.

Applicants must provide details including the name of the company or association, industry type (such as auto, aerospace, telecom, defence), reference of any relevant application, a brief description of the issue (within 50 words), and participant details. Only one representative per organisation will be allowed, and walk-ins will not be permitted due to logistical constraints.

The ministry has advised stakeholders to submit their requests by March 20, 2026, before 3:00 PM to secure participation.
