BHEL secures Rs 13,500 crore order from NTPC

State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged a major contract worth Rs 13,500 crore from NTPC for the main plant package of the 2,400 MW Telangana Stage-II thermal power project.

The company had earlier emerged as the successful bidder for the project in October 2024. Subsequently, on March 29, 2026, BHEL received the official Notification of Award (NOA) for the 3x800 MW Telangana Stage-II project.

This order marks a significant addition to BHEL’s order book and strengthens its position in India’s power equipment and infrastructure sector.
