Indo Euro Indchem faces GST demand; to challenge order

Indo Euro Indchem Ltd has received a GST demand order from the office of the Assistant Commissioner of Central GST & Central Excise, Mumbai Central Commissionerate.

The order, dated March 13, 2026, alleges wrongful availment of input tax credit (ITC) worth Rs 10.69 lakh based on irregular or invalid documentation. It also includes a penalty demand of Rs 62.70 lakh under provisions of the CGST Act.

The company stated that it is currently reviewing the matter and, based on legal advice, plans to contest the order by filing an appropriate response within the prescribed timeline.

Indo Euro Indchem clarified that the matter is being treated as a contingent liability and does not have any impact on its ongoing operations.
