UltraTech Cement Ltd crosses 200 MTPA capacity with commissioning of three units

UltraTech Cement Limited has commissioned three new plants, taking its total production capacity to over 200 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

With this milestone, the Aditya Birla Group company has become the largest cement manufacturer outside China, with capacity exceeding that of the US and surpassing the combined capacity of the European Union.

The company highlighted that this marks an unprecedented scale in India’s corporate sector, with no other company across industries having achieved such capacity levels, according to Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla.
