The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) reported a net purchase of USD 7.409 billion in the spot foreign exchange market in February, according to its latest monthly bulletin.
On a gross basis, the central bank bought USD 21.403 billion and sold USD 13.994 billion during the month.
This marks the second consecutive month of net dollar purchases by the RBI, following a prolonged phase of net selling over the previous seven months. In January, the central bank had recorded a net purchase of USD 2.526 billion, as per the bulletin data.
