Coal India Q4 net profit jumps 75.74% at Rs 5533.67 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 5,533.67 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026 as compared to Rs 3148.87 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 75.74 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose three fold by 1032.86 per cent at Rs 490.19 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 43.27 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses dropped by 1.45 per cent to Rs 343.59 crore from Rs 348.66 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 86.35 per cent at Rs 5,752.27 crore versus (Mar'25 Rs 3,086.81 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 17.50 per cent to Rs 146.60 crore as against Rs 124.77 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 89.63 per cent in March quarter.

Interest grew by 913.85 per cent y-o-y to Rs 6.59 crore, while Taxation increased by 587.58 per cent at Rs 337.26 crore (Mar'25 Rs 49.05 crore).
