The New India Assur. Q4 net profit jumps 60.90% at Rs 557.74 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 557.74 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026 as compared to Rs 346.63 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 60.90 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 7.12 per cent at Rs 9,968.57 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 9,306.41 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 18.65 per cent to Rs 12,476.77 crore from Rs 10,515.89 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 460.82 per cent at Rs 426.22 crore versus (Mar'25 Rs 76.00 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 97.59 per cent to Rs 10.83 crore as against Rs 449.87 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 97.72 per cent in March quarter.

Taxation decreased by 167.33 per cent at Rs -120.69 crore (Mar'25 Rs 179.24 crore).
