Bharti Airtel reappoints Sunil Bharti Mittal as Chairman till 2031

Bharti Airtel has reappointed founder Sunil Bharti Mittal as Chairman of the company for another five-year term.

According to a regulatory filing on Wednesday, the company’s board approved the reappointment based on the recommendation of the HR & Nomination Committee. Mittal’s fresh term will begin from October 1, 2026, and continue till September 30, 2031.

His current tenure as Chairman was scheduled to end on September 30 this year.
