The Reserve Bank of India has set the premature redemption price for Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2020-21 Series-II at Rs 15,904 per unit for redemption due on May 19, 2026.

Under the scheme rules, investors are eligible for premature redemption after completing five years from the issue date, provided the redemption falls on an interest payment date. The bonds in this tranche were issued on May 19, 2020.

The redemption value has been calculated based on the simple average of closing prices of 999 purity gold published by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) for May 14, May 15 and May 18, 2026.
