Guar gum futures rise on firm demand

Guar gum prices on Tuesday rose by Rs 10 to Rs 11,525 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their positions amid firm demand in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for June delivery traded higher by Rs 10, or 0.09%, at Rs 11,525 per quintal, with an open interest of 58,530 lots.

Analysts said firm trends in the physical market encouraged traders to increase their bets, supporting the rise in guar gum prices.
