Hyundai Motor India has reported a temporary disruption to its production operations following a fire incident at one of its key supplier facilities in Tamil Nadu.

According to the company, the incident occurred on May 31, 2026, at a manufacturing plant operated by Mobis India Ltd in Irrungattukottai, located in the Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu. The fire broke out during the late afternoon hours.

While the incident is expected to cause a short-term impact on production activities, Hyundai stated that there have been no fatalities reported. The company also clarified that vehicle deliveries to customers continue as scheduled and remain unaffected at present.

Hyundai is closely monitoring the situation and working with the supplier to minimize any operational disruptions.
