Crompton directed to pay compensation in consumer complaint case

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has informed that the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Kalahandi has directed the company to pay a total of Rs 15,000 in connection with a consumer complaint.

The order requires the company to pay Rs 10,000 as compensation and Rs 5,000 towards litigation expenses. The order was passed on June 4, 2026, and was received by the company on June 11, 2026.

The complaint was filed by a consumer who alleged that a Crompton jet pump purchased by him was not functioning properly and sought compensation for the issue.

The company stated that the financial impact of the order is limited to Rs 15,000 and that there is no material impact on its financial position, operations, or other business activities.
