RBI to conduct Rs 50,000 cr two-day VRR auction on June 17

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that it will conduct a second Variable Rate Repo (VRR) auction under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) on June 17, 2026, following a review of prevailing and evolving liquidity conditions.

The auction will be conducted for a notified amount of Rs 50,000 crore with a tenor of two days. The bidding window will remain open from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM on June 17, while the funds will mature and be reversed on June 19, 2026.

The RBI said the operational guidelines for the auction will remain unchanged and will be in line with the framework outlined in its January 20, 2022 press release.
