Silver futures fall 2.6% to Rs 2.28 lakh per Kg on profit booking

Silver futures witnessed sharp selling pressure on Tuesday, with prices falling by Rs 6,138 to Rs 2,28,172 per kilogram as traders trimmed their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, July silver contracts declined 2.62%, with a business turnover of 10,098 lots.

Market analysts attributed the decline to profit-booking and a broad sell-off by participants, which weighed on silver prices during the session.
