RBI to conduct Rs 50,000 crore overnight VRR auction on July 7

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that it will conduct an overnight Variable Rate Repo (VRR) auction under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) on July 7, 2026, following a review of prevailing and evolving liquidity conditions.

The auction will have a notified amount of Rs 50,000 crore with a one-day tenor. Bidding will take place between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM, while the funds will mature on July 8, 2026.

The RBI stated that the operational guidelines for the auction will remain unchanged and will be in line with the framework outlined in its press release dated January 20, 2022.
