RBI to conduct Rs 25,000 cr Overnight VRR Auction on July 8

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced an Overnight Variable Rate Repo (VRR) auction under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) to address evolving liquidity conditions in the banking system.

The central bank will conduct a Rs 25,000 crore overnight VRR auction on July 8, 2026, with the bidding window open from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The funds will be reversed on July 9, 2026.

The RBI said the auction will be conducted in accordance with the operational guidelines issued in its January 20, 2022, press release.
