RBI to conduct Rs 50,000 cr overnight VRR Auction under LAF

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced an Overnight Variable Rate Repo (VRR) auction under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) to manage evolving liquidity conditions in the banking system.

The auction, with a notified amount of Rs 50,000 crore, will be conducted on July 9, 2026, between 12:15 PM and 12:45 PM, with the funds set to mature on July 10, 2026.

The RBI said the auction will be conducted in accordance with the operational guidelines issued in its January 20, 2022, framework for VRR auctions.
