Avio Smart Market Stack signs MoU with Tripura Government

Avio Smart Market Stack Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tripura to establish a state-of-the-art freeze-drying facility for fruits and vegetables, aimed at strengthening the state's agro-processing infrastructure and boosting the horticulture sector.

The proposed project, titled "A Freeze-Drying Initiative on Fruits and Vegetables for Tripura," is expected to generate around 500 direct and 800 indirect employment opportunities. The facility will use advanced freeze-drying technology to enhance the shelf life, quality, and marketability of locally grown produce, while reducing post-harvest losses.

The company said the initiative is expected to improve farmers' access to premium domestic and international markets, increase value addition, reduce food wastage, and enhance farm incomes, contributing to the long-term growth of Tripura's agricultural economy.

The MoU was signed during the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026, an investment promotion initiative organised by the state's Department of Industries & Commerce. During the event, Dr. Raja Krishna Murthy Morla, Head – Agri Tech Business at Avio Smart Market Stack, received appreciation from Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for the proposed project.

Commenting on the development, Dr. Raja Krishna Murthy Morla said the project reflects the company's commitment to strengthening India's agri-tech infrastructure by bringing advanced food processing technologies closer to farmers and building a sustainable value chain for fruits and vegetables.
