RBI's financial inclusion index rises to 70 in FY26

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said its Financial Inclusion Index (FI-Index) increased 4.48% to 70.0 in FY26, up from 67.0 in the previous fiscal, reflecting improved financial inclusion across the country.

The central bank noted that all sub-indices recorded growth, indicating broader access to and usage of financial services during the year ended March 2026.
