RBI to conduct underwriting auction for Rs 28,000 cr government securities on July 24

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will conduct an underwriting auction for the sale of Government Securities (G-Secs) worth Rs. 28,000 crore on July 24, 2026, under the Government of India's borrowing programme.

The auction comprises:

New Government Security (GS) 2041 – Rs. 17,000 crore

7.43% GS 2076 – Rs. 11,000 crore

The auction will be conducted through the multiple price-based method, with Primary Dealers (PDs) submitting bids electronically via the e-Kuber system between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM. Underwriting commissions will be credited to the respective PDs' RBI current accounts on the date of issuance of the securities.
