India's telecom subscriber base rises to 134.8 cr in June

India's total telecom subscriber base increased marginally to 134.8 crore in June, driven by strong subscriber additions by Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, according to data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

Bharti Airtel emerged as the top performer during the month, adding 31.63 lakh subscribers, including 29.89 lakh mobile users and 1.73 lakh fixed-line connections.

Reliance Jio followed with a net addition of 22.91 lakh subscribers, comprising 21.46 lakh mobile subscribers and 1.44 lakh fixed-line users.
