RBI to conduct Rs 1 lakh crore overnight VRRR auction on August 10

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will conduct a second Variable Rate Reverse Repo (VRRR) auction under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) on Monday, August 10, 2026, to manage prevailing liquidity conditions.

The central bank will conduct the overnight auction for a notified amount of Rs 1 lakh crore. The auction window will remain open from 12:00 noon to 12:30 PM, with the funds scheduled for reversal on August 11, 2026.

The RBI said the operational guidelines for the auction will remain unchanged and will continue to follow the framework outlined in its February 13, 2020 press release.
