CCI approves Prudential Corporation Holdings’ stake acquisition in Bharti Life Insurance

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of certain equity shareholding in Bharti Life Insurance Company Ltd. by Prudential Corporation Holdings Ltd.

The proposed transaction involves Prudential Corporation Holdings acquiring a stake in Bharti Life Insurance Company, an insurer licensed by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and engaged in providing life insurance services in India.

Prudential Corporation Holdings serves as the holding company for its group’s insurance and asset management operations in Asia and provides management and support to its businesses across Asia and Africa.
