Suzlon bags 250 MW wind order from Torrent Green Energy

Suzlon Energy on Tuesday announced a fresh 250 MW wind order from Torrent Green Energy, taking the cumulative capacity of its partnership with the Torrent Group company to more than 1.3 GW.

The latest order marks the sixth from Torrent and strengthens Suzlon’s presence across Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. With this addition, Suzlon’s new order intake in FY27 has crossed 1.1 GW.

Under the order, Suzlon will supply 76 units of its S144 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.3 MW. The company will also provide grid integration services along with long-term operations and maintenance support.

Suzlon Vice Chairman Girish Tanti said the growing partnership with Torrent, which has lasted for more than a decade, reflects the importance of long-term customer relationships and consistent performance in supporting India’s renewable energy expansion.

Ajay Kapur, CEO of Suzlon Group, said the latest order highlights continued customer confidence in the company and further strengthens its footprint in Madhya Pradesh, which is emerging as a key market for wind energy.
