RBI to conduct second 3-day VRRR auction for Rs 1.5 lakh crore today

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will conduct its second 3-day Variable Rate Reverse Repo (VRRR) auction under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) on Friday, September 4, 2026, to manage prevailing liquidity conditions.

The central bank has notified an amount of Rs 1,50,000 crore for the auction, with the bidding window scheduled from 12:00 noon to 12:30 PM. The funds will be reversed on September 7, 2026 (Monday).

The operational guidelines for the auction will remain unchanged as per the RBI's press release dated February 13, 2020.
