Dr. Reddy’s, Takeda enter exclusive pact to distribute QDENGA in India’s private market

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company have entered into an exclusive distribution agreement for QDENGA, Takeda’s dengue vaccine, in India’s private market for pediatric and adult vaccination.

Under the agreement, Dr. Reddy’s will promote and distribute QDENGA across India’s private market, subject to applicable regulatory processes. The vaccine is expected to become available in the first half of 2027.

QDENGA received marketing approval from India’s Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) in July 2026 for individuals aged 4 to 60 years, making it the first approved dengue vaccine in India.

Takeda will retain the rights to promote and distribute QDENGA in India’s public market, along with legal ownership and overall medical and brand oversight of the vaccine in the country.

The collaboration will focus on healthcare-professional engagement, disease awareness, promotion and distribution of the vaccine in the private market.
