The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will conduct a three-day Variable Rate Repo (VRR) auction worth Rs 50,000 crore on October 23, 2026, to manage short-term liquidity conditions in the banking system.
According to the RBI, the auction will be conducted under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF), with the bidding window open from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The funds will be reversed on October 26, 2026.
The central bank said the decision was taken after reviewing current and evolving near-term liquidity conditions. The operational guidelines for the auction will remain in line with the RBI's existing instructions issued on January 20, 2022.
