Sensex, Nifty flat; metal, banks under pressure

Domestic bourses were trading flat during the morning deals as buying is seen in the IT, pharma and realty names, while bank, metal, capital goods, power and FMCG are trading in the red.

Meanwhile, Indian rupee opened 16 paise lower at 74.55 per dollar on against previous close of 74.39.

At 10:42 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 58354.92 up by 13.93 points or by 0.02 % and then NSE Nifty was at 17407 down by -8.05 points or by -0.05 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 58439.07 and intraday low of 58143.86 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 17454 and intraday low of 17351.7

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2423.40,+3.08%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1554.00,+0.93%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. (Rs. 4642.25,+0.90%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1709.60,+0.71%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2023.70,+0.58%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 747.00,-1.74%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 958.00,-1.38%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 133.60,-1.33%), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 2851.00,-1.03%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2352.20,-1.02%), among others.
